Ganz Osteotomy
That is the procedure that I am having done. To read about it check here and here. This will be done on November 1st! I haven't quite gotten a hold of this concept yet. I am really not looking forward to surgery. But it NEEDS to be done and I will be better in the long run. Hopefully hip replacements are a lot less cumbersome in the future. I will have to have one!!!

I've just been diagnosed with hip dysplasia too, and they're talking about doing two ganz osteotomies on my hips a year apart.
I'm really struggling to find anyone to talk to who has had it done, and just spotted your blog. How did it go? How are the results? Are you glad that you went for the surgery? What was the recovery like?

Thanks for your message - great to know that you've been working through hip problems too. How did your surgery go? How are your hips now? What was the recovery like? Jess was really helpful passing on some info about it, but I still haven't booked the surgery - it's too big and scary!
